Here our first full-on look at The Lizard in new artwork for Columbia Pictures’ THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.
Rhys Ifans plays Dr Curt Connors aka The Lizard in the upcoming Spidey reboot. And… Well… We can’t help but think he looks a bit…. Power Rangers-y? Y’know. The sort of one week villain that Rita Repulsa might unleash and The Power Rangers have to take him down? That is by no means a bad thing, as The Power Rangers were kick ass. But, well. We’ll see.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Rhys Ifans. It is directed by Marc Webb and will be web-slinging its way onto 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D screens on 3rd July.

John is a gentleman, a scholar, he’s an acrobat. He is one half of the comedy duo Good Ol’ JR, and considers himself a comedy writer/performer. This view has been questioned by others. He graduated with First Class Honours in Media Arts/Film & TV, a fact he will remain smug about long after everyone has stopped caring. He enjoys movies, theatre, live comedy and writing with the JR member and hetero life partner Ryan. Some of their sketches can be seen on YouTube and YOU can take their total hits to way over 17!
