With the upcoming blockbuster BATTLESHIP, Taylor Kitsch gets another chance to make his mark as a leading man, after the epic failure of Disney’s JOHN CARTER. HANCOCK helmer Peter Berg’s attempt at a big-screen adaptation of the Hasbro board game, mixed science-fiction and action, to wedge itself into the the early summer event movie calender.
Here we have the brand new trailer for the film that sees Kitsch’s Navel Officer Alex Hopper and his fellow comrades do battle on the open seas, with a fleet of hostile extraterrestrial spacecraft. One thing is certain, if Kitsch utters the line, “I sunk your battleship”; his career is effectively over!
BATTLESHIP sails into cinemas 11th April and co-stars Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna and Liam Neeson
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
