THE HUNGER GAMES sees Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence take the lead as Katniss Everdeen, a young girl living in a brutal dystopian world. After her 13-year-old sister has her name picked out of a lottery to do battle in the annual Hunger Games; a tournament that sees teenagers fight to the death live to the watching world, Katniss offers to take her place.

Here we have a brand new television spot for Gary Ross’ big-screen blockbuster and the clip shows us some footage, previously unseen in the trailer or any recent online clips. Suzanne Collins critically-acclaimed novel has even been given the ‘thumps-up’ from the author herself, after seeing a preview screening of her vision realised. Take a look and enjoy.

THE HUNGER GAMES is released 23rd March and co-stars Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Josh Hutcherson.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
