Comic scribe Etan Cohen is in negotiations to direct BOY SCOUTS VS ZOMBIES. That’s Etan Cohen, by the way, not Ethan Coen. The two screenwriters are often confused for one another but are spectacularly different. Ethan is one half of the Coen Bros. The brothers grim behind THE BIG LEBOWSKI, FARGO and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Etan Cohen meanwhile is the screenwriter for Ben Stiller hits MADAGASCAR 2 and TROPIC THUNDER, as well as the upcoming MEN IN BLACK 3.
Cohen would make his directorial debut with the Paramount project, written by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki, who together wrote the Martin Lawrence comedy COLLEGE ROAD TRIP (2008).
With one of those ‘Ronseal’ movie titles, you won’t be surprised to learn that the story concerns a group of boy scouts who must rescue a group of girl scouts from brain eating, reanimated corpses. Or zombies, if you will.
Rumours of a British equivalent titled BROWNIES VS THE WOLFMAN are, as yet, unconfirmed.
