Morgan Spurlock has become a bit of a cult figure in documentary making since his breakthrough with SUPER SIZE ME back in 2004 and he’s not stopped for a minute with superb work including FREAKONOMICS and THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD. Spurlock returns with COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN’S HOPE and writes again with Jeremy Chilnick but also adds THE AVENGERS director Joss Whedon into proceedings, a man who is very familiar with the event.
COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN’S HOPE enters the world-famous San Diego Comic-Con in California. Not only is it a behind-the-scenes look at the fans who gather in their thousands but it specifically follows 5 people to show what it’s all really all about. The documentary features Kevin Smith, Seth Rogen and Stan Lee to name a just a few. It looks to be a really good insight to the crazy world of Comic-Con which was also briefly highlighted in Nick Frost and Simon Pegg’s PAUL.
