When PIRANHA 3DD, (the sequel to Alexandre Aja’s gloriously gory 2010 remake of Joe Dante’s 70s classic), missed its cinema release in November last year, fans feared the worst. It was then reported the film would go straight-to-DVD in March, which was quickly denied by the studio (although it still appears it will not be seen in UK cinemas). Now we seem to be moving forward with FEAST director John Gulager follow-up, as a couple of pretty nifty posters for PIRANHA3DD, have surfaced.
Any over-the-top gore is sure to look even more spectacular with victims being dispatched in a teen-filled waterpark and victims including the legendary likes of David Hasselhoff and Gary Busey. Aja’s first film was a blast, here’s hoping Gulager can top it! PIRANHA 3DD stars Dannielle Panabaker, Alison Mack, David Koechner, along with the returning Ving Rhames (minus his legs) and Christopher Lloyd. One thing is certain – Boobs and blood will not be in short supply!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
