Creepy Preview Released From Sound Of My Voice

Fox Searchlight have started letting slip previews and teasers of their upcoming indie film, SOUND OF MY VOICE. Starring Christopher Denham, Nicole Vicius and Brit Marling (who also co-wrote the production), the film focuses on two friends who start investigating a cult lead by a man who believes he is from the future.

The film originally played at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011 and was then picked up by Searchlight. It’s directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Zal Batmanglij, who previously directed the science fiction short, THE RECORDIST (2007).

Featured below is a teaser poster released for the film – the intriguing and unusual look of it will catch eyes, as it shows us instructions of how to do a hand-shake used by the members of the cult. Unfortunately you don’t see them use it in the 2 minute clip, but it is equally unnerving and attention-grabbing.

Billed as a psychological thriller, SOUND OF MY VOICE is predicted for release from 27th April, 2012.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
