As if playing a nails-hard Roman or Superman’s dad isn’t enough, Aussie actor-musician-poet-nutjob Russell Crowe now has his sights on a Biblical crusader. Whilst Christian Bale was formerly in line to play the lead in Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH, the director is reportedly keen on Crowe to take the lead. Aronofsky apparently wants Liam Neeson for another part in the film.
With his beardy face and Old-Testament style wrath, Russell Crowe could be ideal for the part, and there’s little doubt he could knock together a suitable ark double-quick. However, with his A-list status and inflated ego, he’s unlikely to get his hands dirty and muck out the elephants.
