FOX recently debuted episode one of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE the animated series. Fans of the original 2004 indie flick might well be waiting with bated breath as they examine the quality of the animated addition to cult classic.
The series, which stars the entire original line-up (Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez and Jon Gries to name a few), aired for the first time on Sunday 15th January. But just what can we expect from the new show?
Well, initially fans might well be worried that the already cartoonish classic might go overboard and that the additional show is unnecessary. However, upon viewing of the show it’s entirely possible that a lot of people might change their tune.
Even people who disliked the original could find themselves warming to the animated series. It looks as if the creators have used the platform to go bananas with everything that was initially crazy in the film and thus really upping the ante with the physical comedy. The show will have a standard running time of around 22minutes, a perfect stretch for the nutty off-the-wall toon.
It’ll be a little while yet before us Brits get to see the show but so far it seems to be going down a treat and I’ll be surprised if NAPOLEON DYNAMITE doesn’t get as warm a reception when it eventually makes it over seas here. Check out the trailer below!
