Releasing in cinemas on the 2nd of March is the brand new coming-of-age drama HUNKY DORY from Marc Evans, director of films like MY LITLLE EYE, and the more recent PATAGONIA.
Here’s the full synopsis for the film, the title of which most of you music fans will know actually shares its name with the fourth album by one David Bowie, a heavy influence on this film.
Welcome to Swansea, 1976 during the hottest summer on record, where rehearsals are taking place for a high-school Rock ‘n’ Roll version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest that David Bowie would be proud of. Hunky Dory is an unforgettable coming-of-age journey following a group of school friends in their last weeks before they are out in the real world. Don’t miss this home-grown, nostalgic, feel-good flick!
Minnie Driver, Aneurin Barnard and George MacKa star in the flick, for which we have just received the new trailer. Enjoy.
