Stephen Dorff’s Hollywood career as a significant leading man fizzled out rather quickly by the end of the 90′s. After impressive turns in the likes of BACKBEAT, CITY OF INDUSTRY and BLADE, the noughties saw the actor litter the bottom shelves of movie stores with straight-to-DVD drivel (when not appearing in Britney bloody Spears music videos). That being said, Dorff has been seen back on the big-screen recently (albeit in supporting roles) in Michael Mann’s period-gangster hit PUBLIC ENEMIES and Tarsem Singh’s 300 ‘wannabe’ IMMORTALS.

Now we have the trailer for BRAKE, with the actor back on lead duty as a Special Agent, being held captive in the trunk of a car; on a nightmarish ride to a torturous finale. The film has been compared to the Ryan Reynolds thriller BURIED and is due in cinemas in the US in March, although no word yet if or when the film will be seen in cinemas here the UK.
