Despite Lindsey Lohan also being in the running to play the iconic film legend Elizabeth Taylor, Megan Fox has now also been approached with the part. Larry Thompson, executive producer of Lifetime’s upcoming LIZ AND DICK, told E! News that he has been “in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox.” This is a natural part of the casting process, and Thompson is quick to assure that discussions with other actresses are not meant to speak badly of those first approached.
Lindsay Lohan’s probation status is likely the reason for any lack of certainty regarding her film opportunities; however, after receiving a second positive probation report in a row on Tuesday this week, she seems set to complete her program by the end of March.
Megan Fox’s last film, PASSION PLAY, was met with widespread derision, but her latest film, the comedy FRIENDS WITH KIDS, has already garnered positive attention. LIZ AND DICK is set to start filming in Spring of this year, so casting is likely to be finalised soon.
