The Nominations For The Orange British Film And Television Awards In Full

Shortly before 8am UK time this morning, THE WOMAN IN BLACK star Daniel Radcliffe and Holliday Grainger announced the nominations for this year’s Orange British Academy Film Awards at BAFTA headquarters in Piccadilly, London. Leading the pack with no less that 12 nominations is the wonderful THE ARTIST, closely followed by TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY, which garnered 11 nods. Martin Scorsese’s HUGO scored 9, while MY WEEK WITH MARILYN has six and WAR HORSE and THE HELP have six.

THE ARTIST is mentioned in the categories for Best Film, Original Screenplay, Original Music, Cinematography, Editing, Make Up & Hair, Costume Design, Sound and Production Design. Michel Hazanavicius is nominated for Director and Jean Dujardin is nominated for Leading Actor. His co-star Bérénice Bejo is nominated for Leading Actress.  TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY received nominations for Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Adapted Screenplay, Original Music, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Costume Design and Sound. Tomas Alfredson is nominated for Director and Gary Oldman for Leading Actor.

Completing the Best Film line up are THE DESCENDANTS, THE HELP and the superb DRIVE.
The BAFTAs are handed out on 12th February at a ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden. Keep it THN for coverage leading up to the big day…
