This history-horror mash-up looks as if it could be a whole heap of fun, especially as it’s directed by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov. He was the man responsible for the fantastic and mad-as-hell NIGHT WATCH and its sequel DAY WATCH. Hollywood finally came calling and after dazzling us with the equally bonkers WANTED, and ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER will mark his return to US film making. Newcomer Benjamin Walker will play the titular US President, who makes it his mission to destroy all of the supernatural bloodsuckers, after his mother becomes a victim of one of their attacks.
The genre-bending film also has the impressive supporting cast of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie, Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper.
