Wachowski And Portman Re-Teaming For Jupiter Ascending?

BLACK SWAN star, Oscar-winner and most definitely the hottest actress of last year, Natalie Portman, is rumored to be returning to our big screens very soon. After taking a short break from acting last February to give birth to her son Aleph, who was born in June, talk has now spread that Portman is likely to step in front of the camera yet again.

According to a person briefed on this rumored project (who was not authorized to talk about it publicly) the actress has been invited by directors Lana and Andy Wachowski to star in JUPITER ASCENDING, a science fiction movie the two plan on filming after they finish cutting their much awaited CLOUD ATLAS. Portman, the person said, was seriously weighing taking the part. This would also not be the first time for the actress and filmmakers to work together, having previously collaborated on V FOR VENDETTA.

The plot details of the Warner Bros. film, however, still remain a secret. All that is known is that JUPITER ASCENDING aims to start production in the fall of 2012, meaning Portman would still have more time to spend with her baby and husband Benjamin Millipied.

But, as always, Portman is busy and productive. It has been reported that the actress is switching sides of the camera and is keen on making a documentary about veganism based on Jonathan Safran Foer’s book Eating Animals. She is also attached to THOR 2, but the sequel has not been confirmed by Marvel.

The only question that remains is if Portman will be able to return with as much heat and power that she radiated all of last year. We will just have to wait and see what comes next from this talented and hard-working actress.
