Though very little has been revealed so far of the upcoming CLOUD ATLAS, be prepared for it to be one of the movie events of 2012. With multiple directors, a killer ensemble cast, and highly-acclaimed source material, expectations for CLOUD ATLAS are high.
Directed by Tom Tykwer and Andy and Lana Wachowski, the film tells six connected stories that take place in varying times and locations, and is based on the book of the same name by David Mitchell.
Here’s an image of actress Bae Doona as Sonmi-451, a genetically engineered clone. Also included is some concept art from the film, likely outlining the film’s vision of Mitchell’s dystopian future.
Now that the film has finished shooting, expect a great deal more from CLOUD ATLAS to be revealed.
CLOUD ATLAS stars Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Susan sarandon, Ben Wishaw, Jim Broadbent, James D’Arcy and Keith David. It arrives in cinemas October 2012.
