TOTAL RECALL and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE star, Jessica Biel is in final talks to play a mother named Linda, struggling with the death of her child in moving independent drama EMANUEL AND THE TRUTH ABOUT FISHES. The actress will appear in the film directed by TANNER HALL helmer Francesca Gregorini. Her character becomes damaged and delusional following her child’s death and deals with the situation by caring for a baby doll who she believes is actually alive.
SKINS starlet Kaya Scodelario will play 17-year-old neighbour Emanuel, who befriends Linda and plays along with her scenario, and even playing babysitter. THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO’s Rooney Mara was originally set to take the role of Linda (reuniting with her TANNER HALL director) until shooting was pushed back to early next year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
