There’s a possible new guilty pleasure on the horizon and in comes in the form of this big-screen production of ROCK OF AGES. The hit broadway musical is brought to the screaming 1980s masses by the director of HAIRSPRAY Adam Shankman. This is set in 1987 Los Angeles where Drew and Sherrie are busy chasing their dreams in the big city. One day they meet and it’s love at first sight but there’s a lot of things in the way to overcome on their journey to the so-called promised land of fame.
Leading the way in rock ‘n roll is Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx and this trailer does a lot to purposefully hide his final incarnation, just offering tiny glimpses of the Hollywood superstar. It also stars Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Ackerman, Mary J. Blige and Alec Baldwin. ROCK OF AGES is set for a 8th June 2012 release in the UK.
