Could A Pratt Be Sent To ‘Kill Bin Laden’?

Kathryn Bigelow’s KILL BIN LADEN (that title is expected to change) is shaping up to be an epic action-drama that will chronicle the covert operation to take down America’s most infamous terrorist. The project may now have its lead with actor Chris Pratt in negotiations to head the team that eventually got their man. Pratt, who was superb in his small but significant role in MONEYBALL, made his name in television shows EVERWOOD and THE O.C., but is now more known for his comedic work in PARKS AND RECREATION.

If a deal is reached Pratt will take over from THE THING’s Joel Edgerton who dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Jason Clarke is already attached to the cast and rumours that Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy may also join up are as yet unconfirmed.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
