When a project with Matthew McConaughey is announced, it immediately comes to mind that the film will be some lame chick flick and a reason to showcase him shirtless. If I remember, his lead role in THE LINCOLN LAWYER did feature the actor shirtless but what a damn thrilling film with an equally fine performance it was. So with television network ABC currently putting together a series based on Michael Connelly’s creation, Lionsgate have also announced a sequel.
The character Mickey Haller appears in a total of four novels from author Michael Connelly. He is dubbed the ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ due to running his budget law firm from the back of his Lincoln Town car. It would be great to see McConaughey return as Haller for another thrilling encounter as the role gave him his best work in years.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
