Adam Sandler Set For ‘Grown Ups’ Sequel

Sony Pictures are due to begin talks with Adam Sandler’s production company Happy Maddison for a sequel to the stars highest-grossing hit GROWN UPS. The film co-starred Sandler with fellow comedy mates David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and Kevin James as life-long friends struggling to adapt to the world of fatherhood. Original scribe Fred Wolf is writing the script that will mark the first sequel of Sandler’s career if given the greenlight.

The usually critic-proof actor has always been a hit on the big-screen, his likeable man-child persona featuring in most of his work. It has been a while since his films have hit the laughter highs as the earlier efforts BILLY MADDISON, HAPPY GILMORE, THE WEDDING SINGER,BIG DADDY and MR.DEEDS did.

Sandler’s latest effort JACK AND JILL is due in UK cinemas 3rd of February 2012.
