Peter Cattaneo is currently in negotiations to helm BRIDGET JONES’ BABY, in what will be Renee Zellweger’s third outing as the 30 something British heroine. If a deal is struck, THE FULL MONTY director will replace BRIDESMAIDS’ Paul Feig who vacated the project last month after working on a draft of the script.
BRIDGET JONES’ BABY will once again see Zellweger star opposite Oscar winner Colin Firth’s Mark D’arcy and Hugh Grant’s loveable rogue Daniel Cleaver. Helen Fielding’s now iconic British creation was first brought to the screen in 2001 by Sharon Maguire and a 2004 sequel BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON, which was directed by Beeban Kidron.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
