We’ve been looking forward to this one for a while and now we have a new international trailer for THE DESCENDANTS. From the writer and director of SIDEWAYS, Alexander Payne, it tells the story of Matt King (George Clooney) as the father of two daughters who starts to reassess his life after his wife is left in a coma.
Based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings, this is sure to test the heart and head as it explores a very different side of Hawaii to the usual American way.
If this trailer is anything to go by, then surely is already Clooney up as an early favourite for the Oscars in a touching portrayal of a man on the outside of everything he previously knew and a re-discovery of what it is to live. It looks like a great and intelligent mix of comedy and drama, check out the trailer below:
There’s also been three brand new stills released:
THE DESCENDANTS also stars Saliene Woodley, Amara Miller and Nick Krause and is due for a UK release of 27th January 2012.
