Kathryn Bigelow, director of award-winning war epic THE HURT LOCKER (2009), is returning to the modern warfare scene for a new film concerning the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, and is set to bring a whole host of elite actors in tow.
Jason Clarke (DEATH RACE, PUBLIC ENEMIES) is the first confirmation for the film, playing a bounty hunter who serves the USA during the hunt for the terrorist leader.
The film will begin production next year, with a range of other actors in discussions for parts in Bigelow’s drama – think Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce, Rooney Mara and Nina Arianda amongst others.
Guy Pearce starred in THE HURT LOCKER alongside Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie – though there’s no word yet on whether Bigelow will be returning to any other cast members of her previous effort.
If THE HURT LOCKER is anything to go by, though, this should be promising whatever the cast.
