IN TIME star Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s new drama LOVELACE, in which she would play adult film star Linda Lovelace.

Peter Sarsgaard is also set to join Seyfried in the film as her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor, having last been seen as the villain in GREEN LANTERN (2011).

The script is based on Eric Danville’s book ‘The Complete Linda Lovelace’ and has been written by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin.

Lovelace is the infamous star of  porn flick DEEP THROAT (1972), which is one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time. She was just a Florida schoolgirl named Linda Boreman when she met Traynor, a would-be filmmaker who transformed her into a world-famous sex star.

After years of being victimized, Lovelace quit the business and divorced Traynor, who she accused of taking advantage of her naivete and coercing her into porn and prostitution.

However the film might have some turbulence ahead. It is expected to start production in January, the same month that helmer Matthew Wilder’s rival project, “Inferno,” is expected to go before cameras. Based on Lovelace’s autobiography “Ordeal,” film stars Malin Akerman and Matt Dillon as Lovelace and Traynor, as well as Paz de la Huerta in a supporting role.

LOVELACE will be produced by Eclectic Picture’s  Heidi Jo Markel, Untitled’s Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg, as well as Jim Young of Animus Films. Millennium Films’ Avi Lerner will exec produce.
