The Coen Brothers have added to their increasing line-up for new folk music movie INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIES, by choosing John Goodman as their newest star.
The actor is no stranger to Joel and Ethan Coen, he previously starred in RAISING ARIZONA (1987), BARTON FINK (1991), THE HUDSUCKER PROXY (1994), THE BIG LEBOWSKI (1998) and O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU? (2000).
He will join an already impressive cast including Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake in the film which is loosely based on Dave Van Ronk and the Greenwich Village Folk Music scene in the 1960s.
Goodman is on top form at the minute, having been seen in two big Oscar buzzed films THE ARTIST and EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE. The Coens are probably hoping he’ll bring the same success to their movie which is set to begin filming next year.
