Jurassic Park 4? Laura Dern Thinks So

JURASSIC PARK is currently enjoying a new lease of life and thrilling a whole new generation of moviegoers with its limited re-release. Steven Spielberg’s benchmark blockbuster looks set for another sequel according to one of its original stars Laura Dern.

The actress who appeared as Dr. Ellie Sattler, love interest and co-worker to Sam Neill’s Dr Alan Grant, has reportedly been quoted as saying the following:-

‘I hear it’s happening. I think it’s got a way to go, Steven is about to immerse himself in Lincoln. Once that’s finished… There’s always been talk that my character is deeply involved in Jurassic Park 4 somehow.

After helming JURASSIC PARK (1993) and it’s sequel THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK (1997), Steven Spielberg passed directing duties to Joe Johnston (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER) for what seemed like a very low key third outing in 2001.

Here’s hoping Spielberg hops back on the dino trail and directs a forth film to give the franchise it’s mojo back, but more than likely will only serve as executive producer again.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
