M.C. Gainey In Talks To Join Tarantino’s Django Unchained.

Following on from the news that Kurt Russell (THE THING) will be taking the role recently departed by Kevin Costner, the familiar face of M.C. Gainey is set to join him on DJANGO UNCHAINED.

Gainey is a veteran character actor of both the big and small screen, featuring in roles as diverse as CON AIR (1997),  BREAKDOWN (also featuring Russell) and TV’s LOST. He also gave great performances in the fantastic John Holmes biopic WONDERLAND (2003) and more recently on the FX television hit JUSTIFIED, opposite Timothy Olyphant (DEADWOOD).

DJANGO UNCHAINED is being directed by Quentin Tarantino and will see Gainey join Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio on the project.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
