Emotive Trailer For Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

We’ve had a look at the first trailer of EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE that is an adaptation of the book by Jonathan Safran Foer, and from what we’ve seen, it’s definitely taking on the material with an emotional approach.

It’s the story of Oskar Schell who finds a mysterious key that belonged to his father, who died in the World Trade Center on 9/11. The film follows Oskar in his life after the loss of his father and the consequential journey. Eric Roth’s (MUNICH , THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON) screenplay is under close watch by lovers of the novel and we’re all hopeful he’ll keep the fine line of a strong story over excessive sentiment.

It is directed by Stephen Daldry of THE HOURS and BILLY ELLIOT fame and stars Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks. 12-year old Thomas Horn plays the lead character Oskar Schell and it’s his acting debut, his fame comes from winning Jeopardy in the USA but we’ll all hopeful his inexperience comes across effectively in such a vast story.
