Acadamy Award Winner Susan Sarandon (DEAD MAN WALKING, THE LOVELY BONES) is in talks to appear alongside Dwayne Johnson (FAST AND FURIOUS 5) in SNITCH.
The movie is to be written and directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who last helmed the Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff prison movie FELON. The script is based on actual events and charts a suburban fathers attempts to work undercover as a leading drug dealer in order to reduce his sons prison sentence.
Sarandon’s character was originally written as a male, and will see her star as an ambitious District Attorney, who sees the case as way to further her political career.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
