Shark Night director takes up with ‘Kite’

David R. Ellis director of such ‘subtle’ titles as FINAL DESTINATION 2 and SNAKES ON A PLANE has just signed up to helm a live-action version of the Japanese anime KITE.

Comingsoon.net is reporting that Ellis, who’s latest movie SHARK NIGHT 3D is released on 30th September, will start shooting the story of an abused orphaned schoolgirl who turns stone cold assassin early next year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
