More brief casting news with Clooney out of U.N.C.L.E

Deadline are reporting that George Clooney is looking to leave Steven Soderbergh’s modern, revamp of the 1960’s TV show, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.

It is yet unknown on Clooney’s reasons for leaving the production but the film is still set for a 2012 release. THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E film is based on the Sixties light-hearted, action-comedy starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum which ran from 1964 – 1968. It is being modernised by Scott Z. Burns who has previously penned Soderbergh’s CONTAGION and THE INFORMANT, as well as THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM. Here’s a clip from the original series.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
