Deadline are reporting that George Clooney is looking to leave Steven Soderbergh’s modern, revamp of the 1960’s TV show, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
It is yet unknown on Clooney’s reasons for leaving the production but the film is still set for a 2012 release. THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E film is based on the Sixties light-hearted, action-comedy starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum which ran from 1964 – 1968. It is being modernised by Scott Z. Burns who has previously penned Soderbergh’s CONTAGION and THE INFORMANT, as well as THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM. Here’s a clip from the original series.
