Wolverine Sequel Could Be Pushed Back To 2012

Despite Fox reportedly aiming for an autumn 2011 release, deadline now informs us that THE WOLVERINE  is very unlikely to be in theatres this year. The earliest date being suggested now is Spring 2012. Having landed director James Mangold (WALK THE LINE, IDENTITY), the film seemed set to be finished this year, but due to issues with weather and locations in Japan (where much of the movie was due to be shot), the spanner has been thrown into the works temporarily.

Rumours have spread that the location will be switched to Canada, or a combination of the two countries. We can only hope that the old proverb is true: good things come to those who wait.

Martin has been a film buff (or geek, if you prefer) for as long as he can remember. However, he lives and longs for storytelling of all kinds, and writes across numerous mediums to feed his insatiable appetite. He lives in north-west London, and his favourite films are, possibly: PAN'S LABYRINTH, THEY LIVE, PSYCHO, HIGH FIDELITY, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, STAND BY ME, SIDEWAYS and OFFICE SPACE.
