There are many films with misleading titles. THE NEVER ENDING STORY ended just after ninety minutes. And now, it seems, we were lied to by THE LAST EXORCISM, as a sequel is in the works. Damien Chazelle, the writer/editor/director of quasi-musical GUY AND MADELINE ON A PARK BENCH has signed on to pen the screenplay. Where they can go is anyone’s guess, given the wacky denouement of the first film. But could this be a new horror fanchise to rival PARANORMAL ACTIVITY? We may well have plenty of last exorcisms to come.
