We are hearing that Jackie Chan’s 1911 is all set to be the second opening film of this year’s Tokyo International Film Festival along with Paul WS Anderson’s THREE MUSKETEERS.
Just got this via email:
Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) announced today that “1911,” starring and directed by the international superstar, Jackie Chan (“Drunken Master”, “Rush Hour” and “Shanghai Noon”), has been selected as the special opening film for the 24th TIFF. Also, Jackie Chan will be making an appearance at the festival.
The 24th TIFF will be held from October 22 to 30, 2011 at Roppongi Hills and other venues in Tokyo.
1911 is directed by Jackie Chan and Li Zhang and is a historical drama based on the founding of the Republic of China when nationalist forces led by Sun Yat-sen overthrew the Qing Dynasty.
The flick is also Chan’s 100th film. Watch the trailer for it below.
