Emma Stone could be battling zombies again after being offered the lead role in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES for director Craig Gillespie. Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote the graphic novel on which the movie is based, wrote the script with Marti Noxon.

The source material features the text of Jane Austen’s novel, “Pride and Prejudice” with scenes of bone crunching zombie action.

Natalie Portman was set to take the role in the filmthat Stone has been offered, although Portman will still serve as a producer.

Portman, Annette Savitch, Richard Kelly, Ted Hamm and Sean McKittrick all produce.

The original article at Variety does no say if Stone has accepted the offer. The actress will next be see in THE HELP and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.
