Check out a brand new poster for Bridesmaids

One of the funnier looking movies of 2011, and what could be this year’s answer to THE HANGOVER (bar the sequel which hits this summer) is BRIDESMAID, a new comedy that stars stars Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Kemper, Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Matt Lucas, Jill Clayburgh, Rebel Wilson and Michael Hitchcock. Two names that make me excited about the film, Chris O’Dowd and Matt Lucas.

Synopsis: This spring, Universal Pictures and producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) invite you to experience Bridesmaids. Kristen Wiig leads the cast as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony.

Annie’s life is a mess. But when she finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian’s maid of honor. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she’ll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you’ll go for someone you love.

Coming Soon have today debuted a new poster for the movie, which we are hoping to catch ourselves in the next couple of weeks. Of course, we’ll report back the info and what we thought as soon as we have seen it. Check out the poster below.

BRIDESMAIDS opens in the UK on 22nd June (and the US on May 13, as stated on the poster).
