The Eagle gets a premiere in London

The new swords and sandals epic THE EAGLE premiered in London last night and two of the film’s stars, Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell joined director Kevin MacDonald and others at the glittering event in London’s West End. We have been provided with a nice little video of the happenings, along with a photo gallery from said event. Expect Paul Koren’s full review up on the site within the next few days.

In 2nd-Century Britain, two men – master and slave – venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism… The Roman epic adventure THE EAGLE is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald and produced by Duncan Kenworthy. Jeremy Brock has adapted the screenplay from Rosemary Sutcliff’s classic novel “The Eagle of the Ninth”.

Paul has been writing for film websites for over ten years. The Hollywood News was born out of love for film and his frustration at not being a very good filmmaker himself. Those who cannot do, write about – or so they say. Aside from the site, Paul has directed a music video (badly), has one credit to his name on the IMDb, enjoys running, driving (now that he has finally passed his test at the age of 33), and of course going to the movies.
