The mighty trade Variety report that Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel have joined the cast of Playing The Field. They join Gerard Butler in the soccer (football to us) comedy, which starts shooting very soon (actually next month).

The trade says that Butler stars as a former pro soccer player who finds himself dodging romantic advances from soccer moms after he agrees to coach his son’s youth team in an attempt to bond with the boy.

What do we think of this. Surely football, sorry soccer comedies don’t usually fare all that well. What was the name of that Will Ferrell comedy from a few year’s back? Exactly.
