The Berlin Film Festival is officially underway, and in a buyers market, The Weinstein Company have snapped up the US distribution rights to the directorial debut of British actor Raplh Fiennes, Coriolanus.
The film is a contemporary staging of Shakespeare’s play about the Roman warrior.
Variety report the news of the acquisition of the film, which is ‘in competition’ at the festival (it debuts Monday 14th Feb).
The film stars Fiennes, Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave and James Nesbitt.
