That’s right! If you are a rich million/ billionaire, you could own a piece of modern movie history as the original mansion used in THE GODFATHER is up for sale.
The stunning property in Staten Island, New York features 8 bedrooms, and is apparently filled top to bottom with movie memorabilia from the film. The owner, one Jim Norton, is selling the property after his father, who owned it for 50 years and loaned it out to filmmakers for 18 months back in the early 1970’s, sadly passed away.
Asking price? $2.9 million. I’m sure they would come down a bit for the right buyer. Right?
Here’s one of the scenes filmed in the mansion.
