A SUPER April 1st

The long anticipated film SUPER from filmmaker James Gunn as been given a release date, 1st April 2011.

The film has played at a number of festivals to great fanfare and was bought by IFC at the last Toronto film fest.  The film is simialr to that of KICK-ASS but slightly more grounded in reality as it features Rainn Wilson (THE OFFICE, JUNO) playing the Crimson Bolt a real life superhero that tries to help people in need.  He is soon joined by a sidekick, Boltie, played by Ellen Page (also JUNO and other stuff).  The Crimson Bolt aims to try and win back his wife that falls under the influence of a drug dealer (KEVIN BACON).  Also in the film is Liv Tyler.

Below is a clip for the upcoming film which should hopefully have a UK release not long after the Americans.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
