Whilst the concept isn’t new by any stretch of the imagination, there’s something to be said for taking an over-used storyline and giving it some extra oomph! In WORLD INVASION: BATTLE LA (that’s the international title) aliens have picked our planet to destroy again, and this time the main target is Los Angeles. With only the Marines as the city’s defense, it’s going to be a fierce battle for human survival, with blood, sweat and tears all coming into the action mix. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING), the movie stars Michelle Rodriguez (LOST) and Aaron Eckhart (THE DARK KNIGHT) and is scheduled for a March release date.
Maybe it’s just the funky electro-classical synthesised music that makes this trailer seem epic, or maybe it’s the pretty impressive-looking CGI. Either way, this is one flick I think I would be willing to buy overpriced popcorn and carbonated drinks for…
