On Saturday there is a special preview happening in London for the Korean smash, I SAW THE DEVIL. This is the new feature from director Kim Jee-woon, best known for TALE OF TWO SISTERS, BITTER SWEET LIFE and THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE WEIRD. It also has two of the biggest acting heavy weights in Korean cinema with Lee Byung-hun, that’s Storm Shadow from G.I.JOE: RISE OF COBRA fof all the Americans. And Choi Min-shik from everyones favourite, OLDBOY.
The films centres on a serial killer, Choi Min-shik, that kills the lover of Byung-hun’s character who seeks bloody revenge. Watching these two acting giants taking chunks out of each other is a dream come true and with a director who creates such fantastic scene designs and characters it is really something you shouldn’t miss if you are in London.
Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
