GLEE and NIP/ TUCK creator Ryan Murphy is reportedly in talks with Fox 2000 to direct a big-screen remake of the 1975 camp classic THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. The show has a huge following across the globe to this day, and a special ‘Rocky Horror’ themed GLEE episode will air on October 26th, and now it looks like Hollywood hot-property Murphy will tackle the remake – if Fox get their way.
The original was written by Richard O’ Brien and starred Tim Curry, a very young Susan Sarandon and O’ Brien himself. The plot revolves around a newly engaged couple have a breakdown in an isolated area and must pay a call to the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
The film still plays in theaters around the world today, 35 years after it’s initial release.
So, will Murphy sign on the dotten line?
