Mel Gibson to cameo in The Hangover 2?

There are some weird and wacky rumours around the web today (that could even be true). The one that I am referring to is this report over at Page Six which claims that Mel Gibson could be making an appearance in a cameo role in THE HANGOVER 2.

The troubled star, who was dropped by the William Morris Endeavor agency in July and has also faced allegations that he assaulted and made threats against his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, has signed to play a Bangkok tattooist in the highly anticipated comedy.

The column’s site also reports that “filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October.”

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong all return, while Todd Phillips directs. The film has a release date set for May 26, 2011.
