The hilarious Zack Galifianakis has told Entertainment Weekly that he wants the sequel to the fantastic comedy The Hangover to take place in Moscow. The original film famously took place in las Vegas and made a ton of money at the box-office for Warner Brothers and writer/ director Todd Phillips. The sequel is set to kick into production at the end of the year.
“I think Russia would be amazing,” Galifianakis said. “The first Hangover worked because it was Vegas, but it was the dirty side of Vegas, not the glitzy one. You’ve got to put the characters against danger. So they could get involved in organised crime in Moscow, which I think is incredibly scary.”
The actor added that the filmmaker probably already had a location in mind though.
“Where it is going to take place is beautiful,” he says. “They probably will show the dirty part of the beauty. I think that’s the goal.”
