Toy Story 3 has become the second highest grossing film of all time in the UK. The film comes second only to James Cameron‘s bohemoth, Avatar. The animated sequel, which was released back in July, has taken a smidge over £70.1 million at the UK box-office. That is compared to number one film Avatar‘s £93.4 million and number three film Mamma Mia‘s £69.2 million. Some huge numbers.
Cameron’s other big-budget earner, 1997’s Titanic is now in the number four position on the all-time top ten list, taking a mere £69.02 in receipts since its release.
According to the most recent stats, the film has also taken a whopping $405,659,221 in the US. That’s a from an approximate $200 million budget.
Now Pixar, where do we go from here? You have already discounted a fourth movie, but will these numbers make you reconsider?
