Carey Mulligan, the British actress who won acclaim with The Education last year, is in talks to star alongside Ryan Gosling and Bryan Cranston in the action-thriller Drive for Universal Pictures.
The film is based on the James Sallis novel about a Hollywood stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway car driver in heists. In the book, the stuntman’s already-exciting existence gets jolted when he discovers that a contract has been put out on his life.
The movie will directed by Bronson helmer Nicolas Winding Refn. Mulligan would play the part of Gosling’s character’s girlfriend in the flick.
Shooting kicks off in LA next month. Hossein Amini (Killshot), wrote the script.
