Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson are both in the running to star in director Alfonso Cuaran‘s upcoming film project Gravity. The flick stars Robert Downey Jr and revolves around astronauts repairing the Hubble telescope. When they are fixing it, they are hit with an avalanche of satellite junk. The surviving astronaut must fight her way back to Earth, where she hopes to reunite with her daughter.

Johansson and Lively has both tested for the role of a female astronaut lost in space. The role was originally set for Angelina Jolie, but that didn’t work out so Cuaran is set to decide on one of the two actresses in the next week or two.
